In February of 2020, John Zacharias moved Early Dawn Mills into his small shop. Having been on the road for 20+ years as a truck owner\operator, He was looking for something to do close to home with his family. When he saw an ad for a small and local flour business, He was fairly interested. After lots of conversation with his family followed with lots of research, The decision was made and the business bought. They operated for four months out of the former owner's small 28x28 building until the new building was modified to Alberta health standards. Currently they are operating out of a 32x48 building with two employees grinding wheat into flour, bran and wheatlets.
